Return Of The Purbeck Plod

The Purbeck Plod challenge walk took place most every year from 1965 to 2002 when one of the original organisers was no longer able to continue.

The East Dorset Ramblers Group have decided to re-start the Purbeck Plod in 2008 and the event will be held on June 15th.

There are a 25 mile and 16 mile routes for walkers. For runners, the 25 mile route will be available with a later starting time.

The starting point for both routes will be near the pier at Swanage and they both feature parts of the South West Coast Path and highlights of the beautiful and spectacular Purbeck countryside.
